The Board scheduled a Special Board Meeting for Monday, Sept. 16, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. to review site-level SPSAs. Trustees completed first readings of Board Policy 2121 (Superintendent's Contract), BP 6163.1 (Library Media Centers), Board Bylaw and Exhibit 9920 (Governing Board Elections) and BB 9223 (Filling Vacancies); board members indicated several items would return for adoption or a second reading at the next regular meeting.
Superintendent Dr. Rhonda L. Taylor presented a proposed cell phone survey intended for parents and staff and noted trustees discussed edits to some questions and a proposed distribution during the first weeks of the school year. Dr. Taylor thanked the Board for a productive study session and said, "we are ready for our kick off," and congratulated Vice President Hoefer Moir on being named elected official of the year.
