Legislature authorizes carpeting replacement at Ward O'Hara Agricultural Museum

The committee adopted Resolution 8-25-PL-3 to authorize replacement of carpeting in two conference rooms at the Ward W. O'Hara Agricultural Museum. The motion was made by Legislator Elane Daly, seconded by Tom Winslow and recorded as "all in favor." Museum Director Tim Quill reported the museum will host County Legislature committee meetings in the Brier Classroom at 4 p.m. through the end of 2026 while the County Office Building is closed and outlined scheduled programming including a 50th anniversary celebration on Sept. 21, a Festival of Trees in late November and other seasonal events.
Quill also identified facility maintenance needs including carpet replacement in the Education Center and Brier Classroom, pavement crack sealing and planning for a log cabin pavilion replacement. The resolution authorizes funds and procurement steps for the carpeting replacement specifically for the two conference rooms identified in the motion.
