At the April 28 Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board approved a motion to change the property reassessment cycle from four years to five years. Vice-Chairman Ryan Patterson moved the change; the recorded votes were Mr. Patterson aye, Mr. Michael Hill aye and Mr. Byron Adkins, Sr. aye.
Board members said the reassessment-cycle change would alter the cadence of future assessments; Board Member Michael Hill later asked for additional review and public updates on the reassessment process and recommended the County Administrator coordinate with the Commissioner of the Revenue to provide an update at the next meeting.
