Consultants from Jones & DeMille presented project concepts for Puffer Lake on Jan. 6, describing proposed cabins, restrooms, host lodging and restoration of the boat dock. An existing spring that supplies the site will need to be transferred from the U.S. Forest Service to Beaver County; Commissioner Tammy Pearson will coordinate with the Forest Service to begin that process.
Commissioners were told construction is anticipated to begin this summer but is contingent on securing funding. The commission authorized signature on the Assignment Order and Probable Cost; the motion to authorize signature was made by Commissioner Brandon Yardley, seconded by Commissioner Tammy Pearson, and passed unanimously.
