Chamber reports membership drive, ADA training, downtown revitalization and a new restaurant opening

At the Feb. 19 meeting, Rebecca Adcock delivered the chamber report outlining membership outreach, magazine production, and upcoming educational programming.
Rebecca said the chamber has been "busy with the membership drive and magazine sales" and that two programs are scheduled: an April Lunch & Learn about new ADA website and digital-asset guidelines and a Citizen Learning Session on county boards. She reported a Downtown Revitalization meeting is in progress to support local businesses and that Terry Dalton will open a restaurant at the former Dry Pond Cafe in Meadows of Dan. The chamber is also coordinating with the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation on Blue Ridge Rising initiatives.
Chamber and tourism staff said the chamber is working with the registrar’s office on a seminar covering how to run for local office, and the chamber plans further business outreach tied to the downtown effort.
