The Ward County Water Resource Board approved a motion March 12 to advertise for construction bids for the Valley Street Bank Stabilization Project beginning March 19, with a bid opening scheduled for April 10 and review of the bid award at the board's regular meeting on April 13, 2026.
Chris Korkowski, HDR's consultant, recommended the March 19 advertisement and proposed an April 9 or 10 opening; the board established April 10 as the official opening date. Jason Zimmerman moved and Roger Kluck seconded the motion to advertise; the motion passed 4-0. Korkowski said HDR will confer with the board on any requests for bid extensions and will notify interested parties from the public hearings.
