Waste Zero asks town for tonnage and transport estimates to set bag price

Waste Zero representatives told the WRC they require the town's estimated trash tonnage and transportation cost figures before finalizing the price for a rolled five-bag pack in the proposed pilot program.
At the July 21 special meeting, Kristen Brown of Waste Zero told the WRC she needed two specific datasets to compute retail pricing for the pilot bag product: estimated tonnage and estimated transportation cost.
"With those figures and the approximate number of participants she will be able to determine the price we will have to charge for a roll of five bags of different sizes for trash disposal," the minutes state. Town staff were asked to provide those figures in advance of the August 12 meeting so Waste Zero can present final pricing options.
