Litchfield hires Halloran & Sage for land-use, multifamily and 8-30g matters

Commissioners reported that, in light of recent legislative changes affecting multifamily development, the Land Use department solicited proposals from larger firms with specific experience in 8-30g and multifamily law. Two firms submitted proposals; Vice Chairman P. Losee, Chairman Bramley and Land Use Administrator S. Macary interviewed both and recommended retaining Halloran & Sage of Hartford.
The Commission voted unanimously to retain Halloran & Sage to supplement the guidance previously provided by Attorney Steve Byrne. The retention was presented as adding depth of experience to help the town navigate multifamily development issues and state statutory provisions such as 8-30g.
