Napa County Fire reports delivery of two Type 1 pumpers; Engine 26 sent for warranty repairs

Napa County Fire’s Equipment Subcommittee reported that two Type 1 pumpers were delivered on Jan. 17. The committee said Engine 12 will be outfitted and put into service, while Engine 26 was returned to Golden State for warranty repairs.
The subcommittee also said two ordered Type 6 engines are receiving new pump units and are expected to be delivered in the spring. A public question noted that “Pierce uses proprietary parts,” and committee staff said they expect a quick turnaround from Golden State for the warranty repairs.
