The Calumet County Board approved its Jan. 20, 2026 meeting agenda and the minutes of Dec. 16, 2025 and set the next regular meeting for Feb. 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM. Supervisor Joseph Mueller moved to approve the agenda (seconded by Supervisor Patrick LaTour); Supervisor Ronald Dietrich moved to approve the Dec. 16 minutes (seconded by Supervisor Dave Elliott). Both motions were recorded as carried unanimously with 17 ayes, two excused and two absent.
Later in the meeting, at 7:40 PM, Supervisor Ronald Dietrich moved and Supervisor Mary Schwalenberg seconded that the board go into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(b) to consider dismissal, demotion or discipline of a public employee or the investigation of charges against such person; roll call was taken and the motion carried unanimously. Chair Alice Connors adjourned the meeting at 7:50 PM. The minutes were certified by Clerk Beth A. Leary.
