- Inventorying available properties and development opportunities across Iron County; - Improving the county’s web presence through new media and content for outreach to businesses and investors; - Pursuing grant funding to improve the county fairgrounds; - Hosting an entrepreneurial resource fair to introduce business owners to entrepreneurs and potential investors; - Researching new revenue streams for waste products, including exploring wood pulp for wood alcohol-based petroleum fuels.
The committee did not take formal votes on these goals during the Jan. 28 meeting; members discussed priorities and next steps for staff follow-up and potential grant research.
