The Rush Valley Town Council adopted amendments to the 2025–2026 fiscal year budget at its June 17 meeting, approving Resolution No. 2026-02 to align actual revenues and expenditures.
Mayor Johnson reviewed the proposed amendments, which adjusted tax revenues, reflected Tooele County Health Department grant funding, increased Class B & C road revenue estimates, and updated Fire Department revenue, interest earnings, donations, rental revenue and payroll lines. He told the council that with the increased revenue the Fire Department opted to pay off the rescue truck.
Councilmember Gardner moved to adopt the amendment resolution; Councilmember Harding seconded and the roll-call vote was unanimous. The council explained the changes were necessary because revenues exceeded original estimates and to incorporate recent reimbursement revenue for wildland responses.
