Mayor Johnson reviewed the proposed budget and told the council the draft was unchanged from the tentative budget presented the prior month but reflected an upward adjustment to Class B & C road revenue to $95,000. He also confirmed the town had been awarded a $50,000 Tooele County Tourism Grant for the Clover Church restoration project. Councilmember Harding moved to adopt Resolution No. 2026-01; Councilmember Gardner seconded and, after a roll-call vote, all present voted in favor.
The council noted that any increase beyond the certified levy would require a Truth in Taxation hearing. The budget adoption follows discussion of department allocations, including the Fire Department, and incorporates the updated revenue estimates and grant awards disclosed during the public hearing.
