Board OKs Comprehensive Youth Services agreement and records staff retirement

The Kingsburg Joint Union High School District Board on March 17 approved a Comprehensive Youth Services Agreement for the 2025–2026 school year that provides a total of 3.5 full-time-equivalent Student Assistant Specialists for supplemental social work and counseling services at a cost of $485,200. The agreement also includes 0.6 FTE for a summer session in the amount of $12,335.
Trustees recorded a unanimous vote approving the agreement (Mr. Serpa moved; Mr. Nagle seconded). Separately, the board approved the retirement of payroll technician Lisa Crespin; her last day of work is listed as July 31, 2025, with an official retirement date of August 1, 2025. The board also approved the 2024–2025 Second Interim Report at the same meeting.
The motions were carried 5-0 on the Comprehensive Youth Services Agreement and the retirement notice. Next steps include contract execution and staffing plans to implement supplemental social work services for the coming school year.
