Students report Valentine’s Week, testing and spring activities at Kingsburg Joint Union High

Student leaders and administrators updated trustees on Valentine’s Week kindness messages, ELPAC testing, spring sports, the Wiz of Oz performances (Feb. 25–Mar. 1) and KAEC graduation on June 3, 2025; Superintendent noted restrooms opening Feb. 17.
Student Representative Jasleen Gill and district leaders gave progress updates on student activities and academic work during the Feb. 11 board meeting.
Jasleen Gill reported that "Valentines Week - Around campus the students are sending messages of kindness," and that a drive-in movie night will be staged in the stadium parking lot. Principal Heather Wilson said winter sports are ending and spring sports are starting; she noted that ELPAC testing for English learners is occurring this week and that teacher-led prep sessions were held. Superintendent Dr. Ryan Phelan told trustees that the "ten wing restrooms will open next week, Tuesday, February 17th." Director Ryan Walterman reported that senior portfolio projects and college and military career booths are supporting KAEC students; KAEC graduation is scheduled for June 3, 2025.
