Finance Director Janice Flynn presented a list of outdated and non-operable electronics and recommended they be declared surplus with secure data destruction and disposal. Council approved a motion to declare the items surplus and to dispose of them as proposed (m/s Piercy/Garcia).
"There will be a cost to have computers and monitors wiped clean of data and properly disposed of by Desert Computer," Janice Flynn said. The minutes record council approval of the surplus declaration; no dollar amount for disposal was recorded in the minutes.
Council directed staff to proceed with secure data wiping and disposal; staff will return if additional budget authorization is needed.
