Road & Bridge Supervisor Josh Hinch updated the Wabaunsee County Commission on March 2, 2026 that crews are hauling gravel on 8‑Mile Road and that a Perma‑Zyme road‑treatment application is planned to begin at the east end of Wells Creek Road (at Paxico Road) and proceed west, with crews completing approximately three‑quarters to one mile per day and closing the road in sections during work. Hinch said the county met with Perma‑Zyme last week and will schedule the application early next month and will notify residents of the schedule once determined.
Hinch also supplied right‑of‑way agreements for Bridge #640 and reported one signed right‑of‑way for the North McFarland Road bridge replacement with the other in process. No formal vote was required for the operational updates; the briefing was recorded as part of the meeting minutes for departmental reporting.
