Shari Kaminska, Community Development, told the commission the county is considering a Phase I Environmental Study for the property at 1285 Evergreen in Moline and that the BASE Grant could fund the study. Commissioners discussed whether to move forward with a site plan and noted work needed on a south fence; the county will coordinate tree removal and fence construction with property owner Michael Hogan.
Kaminska framed the study as a next step to inform potential development or remediation options for the property; no formal motion to conduct the Phase I study was recorded in the meeting notes. She also reported that quarterly BASE Grant reports have been submitted.
Next steps: commissioners and Community Development staff will continue discussions about site planning and procurement for any study should the commission approve funding in a future meeting.
