Probation officer: Cassia, Minidoka show steady caseloads; SUDS program seeks $379.68 reimbursement

Juvenile Probation Officer Bret Wright told the Mini‑Cassia Joint Juvenile Probation Committee on Feb. 10 that January caseloads remained steady across the two counties. He reported Cassia filed 18 citations and recorded four probation violations; Minidoka filed 15 citations and recorded eight probation violations.
Wright said Cassia referred one youth to diversion and Minidoka referred five youths to attendance court. He reported the SUDS (substance use disorder services) program has 19 active youths and that the office administered 56 drug tests in December, with 28 tests clean and 28 tests positive. Wright said the office will request reimbursement of $379.68 to cover program costs. He also noted several staff members are scheduled for spring POST trainings and briefly reviewed WILD program activities.
