During public comment longtime advocate Jeff Lustig urged clearer rules for residents who use golf carts for local errands, saying ‘‘I still, to this day, have no idea what’s legal and what isn’t.’’ Commissioner Constance moved the ordinance and the board approved it unanimously. The new code language directs the county engineer and community development staff to coordinate with state standards when authorizing designated golf‑cart roadways.
