Kaye Spooner opened public comment by reading an article about election security. Dr. Justin Spiehs said “the meeting minutes of August 12, 2024 were incorrect because they did not reflect that he spoke and was shut down from speaking.” Michael, who identified himself with Lawrence Accountability, said he “did submit complaints to the AG Office for violating KORA and KOMA,” asked when the courthouse entrance button would be removed and called the button “a fourth amendment violation.”
The minutes record the comments but show no formal board response or action recorded in open session on these items during the meeting.
