The Board received written notice from Michael W. Ryan of UBT Investments, LLC, that the tenancy at 517 Court will terminate on June 1, 2026 and that he offered the County an option to buy the building. Commissioners decided not to purchase the property and directed arrangements be made to remove county items from the basement before the lease ends; they also said Grow Clay County will be notified of the change.
Separately, Mike Argo informed the Board that wind damaged a light pole at the fairgrounds and Clay Center Public Utilities recommended replacing it and a second pole that also needed replacement. The Board authorized purchase of two poles at $1,650 each for a total of $3,300 and approved placement at the fairgrounds.
