Emergency manager selects $175 vendor for Explorer window tinting, schedules storm training and reports new state disaster threshold

Jim Bogart, Clay County Emergency Manager, presented two tinting quotes for the county Explorer—Wilder Auto Body at $300 and Perfection Auto Body at $175—and the Board voted unanimously to hire Perfection Auto Body for $175, to be paid from the County General Fund.
Bogart also announced a Storm/Safety and Informational Awareness training session on April 1, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Clay County Event Center, reported that Homman Electronics has delivered new radios starting to arrive and that he will prepare programming needs, and noted the State set a new disaster threshold for Clay County at $39,448.62 and a separate statewide amount of $5,405,699.20.
