Clay County reviews proposal for EMS coverage of Clifton; mutual aid pact with Concordia signed

Scott Fisher of Clifton EMS told the Board Clay County EMS could serve as primary backup for the City of Clifton and Clifton Township in Washington County when Clifton personnel are unavailable; operations would be under Clay County EMS Director Alec Trembath and some supplies are already ordered by Clay County.
Commissioners asked whether the Clifton proposal had been discussed with Washington County officials; Fisher said Clifton had met with Washington County previously but no action followed. Trembath reported Clay County EMS had completed 250 emergency runs year-to-date compared with 256 at the same point in 2025. The Board signed a mutual aid agreement with the City of Concordia Fire Department for personnel and equipment assistance during emergencies.
