Commissioners authorize highway grant submission and flag unauthorized camera purchase

During the same discussion commissioners raised that the Highway Department had purchased and installed video cameras for $3,935 without first obtaining Board approval, which county rules require for non‑emergency spending. The Board instructed department heads to obtain prior approval on purchases and said emergency repairs should be reported immediately to the chairman for interim authorization.
