The Board then approved payroll (motion by Commissioner Moates, seconded by Commissioner Frazier) and payables (motion by Commissioner Garner, seconded by Commissioner Moates), with each motion passing unanimously.
These actions were procedural and took place at the start of the Sept. 29 meeting called to order by Chair Myra Carlisle Frazier. The approvals allowed the Board to proceed to departmental updates, citizen requests and executive-session items recorded in the minutes.
