Suffield P&Z approves minutes, continues TCVD hearing and adjourns
Summary
At its July 20 meeting the Commission approved the June 15 minutes, continued the TCVD zoning text amendment hearing to Aug. 17, accepted a floodplain amendment for hearing on Sept. 20, and adjourned at 9:30 PM; all recorded motions passed unanimously (6-0-0).
The Planning & Zoning Commission handled several procedural items at the July 20, 2026 meeting. Jeff Girard moved to approve the minutes of the June 15, 2026 regular meeting; the motion, seconded by Brian Dunn, passed unanimously (6-0-0).
On File 2026-5 (TCVD density text amendment) the Commission voted to continue the public hearing to August 17, 2026 (motion by Brian Dunn; second by Kevin Keane), and on File 2026-6 the Commission accepted a staff-initiated floodplain regulation amendment and set the public hearing for September 20, 2026 (motion by Brian Dunn; second by Kevin Keane). With no further business, the Commission adjourned at 9:30 PM following a motion by Brian Dunn and second by Kevin Keane; that motion also passed unanimously (6-0-0).
All recorded votes in the minutes show unanimous support (6-0-0) for the motions identified in the meeting minutes.
