Jennifer Taylor, Ellis County HR director, led the morning's employee service awards, reading the names of employees who reached milestone anniversaries in 2025 and asking recipients to gather for photos. "On behalf of the county commission and the entire organization, thank you for your time, effort, and professionalism you bring to your roles," Taylor said.
The commission and HR recognized employees across departments (fire/EMS, public works, treasury, register of deeds, sheriff's office, HR and others) for five- to 44-year anniversaries and acknowledged a separate set of Kansas Association of Counties anniversary awards. Commissioners thanked recipients and invited them to have photos taken after the meeting.
Next step: HR will coordinate photos and award distribution for employees who were recognized at the meeting.
