Fire chief secures $500 county credit card; board agrees to pay volunteer on EMS call‑out schedule

County Fire Chief John Crosby asked the Grant County Board of County Commissioners for a credit card to support a regional Task Force that assists other counties during emergencies. Crosby said “the card will be under lock and key and assigned by him when needed,” and the commission voted to issue a Fire Station credit card with a $500.00 limit.
The board also addressed pay for an individual who volunteers with Emergency Management and is listed as Assistant Emergency Management at the state level. EMS Director and EM Coordinator Jeff Baier told commissioners the individual should be placed on the EMS call‑out ("second out") pay schedule; the commission agreed to adopt that pay schedule for the volunteer when called out.
