The Grant County Court approved a six-year lease with Three Mile Butte, LLC to establish a gravel stockpile site on the 15 Road near Ritter. The Road Department reported the site contains less than 3,000 yards of material and will serve as a second rock location roughly three miles from both the start and end of the ten-mile road. The lease carries an annual payment of $1,800.
Roadmaster Alan Hickerson presented the proposal and Judge Hamsher moved to approve the order; Commissioner Rowell seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The minutes note this will provide closer access to rock supplies for maintenance work on the ten-mile stretch.
