Trey Dail reported Feb. 9 that the Runway 17/35 Reconstruction Project is officially closed out: pay deductions were reconciled with the contractor, final payment has been made, and the FAA issued the grant closeout letter.
“Pay deductions and reconciliation with the contractor have been settled, the final payment has been made, and the airport has received the FAA’s official grant closeout letter,” Trey said. Commissioners expressed appreciation that closeout work is complete.
Haley Walker added that the final closeout report and final reimbursement request have been submitted to Connect Oregon, and an Oregon Department of Transportation project manager was scheduled to inspect the project the next morning to review runway lighting and other elements needed to process final reimbursement and release retainage. Haley emphasized the importance of receiving those funds for budget planning.
Next steps: staff will host the ODOT inspection and pursue final disbursement of Connect Oregon funds as paperwork is processed.
