Commissioners approve appointments and personnel changes including Fair Board appointment and Road Department hires

The Roosevelt County Commission approved several routine personnel actions during the March 4 and March 11 meetings. On March 4 the board appointed Jackie Olson to the Fair Board and approved Shelley Arndt’s change from full time to part time for retirement. Commissioners also approved sending Commissioner Gordon Oelkers to the 2025 Western Interstate Region Conference.
On March 11 the board approved hires: Les Heidner as Curator for the Wolf Point Museum and two Road Department hires, Gale Strandlund and Jake Flynn, as equipment operators/truck drivers effective April 1, 2025. Most motions were made by Commissioner Robert Toavs, seconded by Commissioner Doug Marottek, and recorded as passed in the minutes.
