Commissioners adopt proclamations for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month

At the March 30 meeting, Pawnee County commissioners read and adopted proclamations recognizing Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. Commissioner Rein read the texts of both proclamations; motions by Commissioner Miller, seconded by Commissioner Burdett, passed 3-0 for each proclamation.
A representative from the Family Crisis Center and Aimee Pescka updated the board on upcoming awareness events and projects the organization is offering to the community. The board recorded the unanimous votes (motions passed 3-0) to adopt both proclamations and encouraged public awareness activities in April.
