Commissioners approve Health Department security upgrades; sanitarian contract to end Feb. 1

The Roosevelt County Board of Commissioners approved a security improvement package for the Health Department/Aging Services building totaling $1,754.31 following a safety/security exercise that identified gaps. County Health Department representative Jennifer Fuller explained the recommendation to install four cameras and a monitor; the board said the cost will come from the County building fund.
Separately, the board acknowledged that the Sanitarian services contract with Tumblewood Environmental Inc. will end effective Feb. 1, 2026, and moved to advertise for an on-staff County Sanitarian. The minutes record motions to both approve the security improvements and to advertise for sanitarian services; both motions passed.
