The Grant County College Advisory Board voted to authorize its scholarship committee to finalize the 2026 Grant County Futures Scholarship application materials at its Feb. 4, 2026, meeting.
Jesse Schaefer told the board that the EOU Foundation had not yet collected the documents needed to update the scholarship, and that she had submitted draft application materials with minor clarifying edits to Tyler Dubsky at EOU and was awaiting approval. To avoid delaying scholarship awards for the year, she recommended the scholarship committee be granted authority to approve finalized materials.
Chris Cronin made the motion to authorize the scholarship committee; Robert Waltenburg seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The authorization gives the committee the ability to approve the final application materials for the 2026 Grant County Futures Scholarship without awaiting further paperwork from the EOU Foundation, per the board’s recorded action at the meeting.
