On Jan. 2 the Board authorized the county treasurer to place special-assessment liens on six properties in the former city of Mt. Sterling for delinquent sewer accounts; each listed parcel had a delinquent amount of $142.80 as shown in the minutes. The board took that action on motion (Ayes: 3).
Separately, County Treasurer Linda Whitten raised a proposal to split a parcel in Bentonsport into two new parcels; that discussion was recorded but no final action was taken. The board also discussed an open courthouse custodian position that had received no applicants; supervisors agreed to re-advertise the position as 30–40 hours per week with snow-removal retained in the duties and mowing removed.
