Commissioner Talton presented change order #1 for the Talton Road / SR 127 project and the board unanimously approved the $493,939.66 change, which increases the contract with McCoy Grading Inc. to $5,905,025.11 and sets a completion date of July 15, 2025.
Chairman Perdue said the traffic signal is expected to be in place before the next school year and thanked the Georgia Department of Transportation for its assistance in getting the signal approved. The project is funded by 2018 SPLOST; the board emphasized safety improvements at the intersection.
The motion carried unanimously and no member recorded opposition.
