The board recognized two retirees from Montgomery County Children Services on Feb. 17. Commissioners read proclamations honoring Sonja Dejesus-Jordan and April Desai; both spoke briefly about their careers before joining the commissioners for photographs.
The meeting also featured a presentation on the 2025 workplace giving campaign. County officials—including County Prosecutor Matt Heck Jr., Auditor Karl Keith, Campaign Chair Mike Brill and United Way representatives—noted that Montgomery County employees raised more than $50,000 for United Way programs serving Montgomery County and the Greater Dayton area. Campaign chair Mike Brill thanked coordinators and joined county leaders for a check presentation photo.
Both recognition and the campaign update were entered into the minutes as formal agenda items and recorded by the commissioners.
