Fayette County commissioners approve bills and several budget moves ahead of spring projects

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners voted Feb. 2 to authorize payment of the auditor-certified bills presented and to adopt a series of appropriation adjustments and additions.
Commissioner Tony Anderson moved to pay the bills and Commissioner James D. Garland seconded; roll call recorded Garland aye, Anderson aye, Donald L. Fleak absent. The bills list included a $26,309.98 payment to the Fayette County Treasurer for County Farm expenses and multiple line items tied to the Rattlesnake water and sanitary services accounts. The board also approved an intra-fund appropriation modification moving $5,000 within the Rattlesnake Water System Improvement account and new appropriations including $104,507.67 for Building Grounds Capital Improvement.
In addition, the board approved additional appropriations — among them $10,000 for Fast Pass Foreclosure other expense and $18,917 for Water District Revenue - Rattlesnake equipment. Commissioners accepted the Amended Official Certificate of Estimated Resources #2 from the Fayette County Budget Commission, formalizing the updated revenue estimate for the fiscal cycle. Motions on these items were moved by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Garland; each passed with two recorded ayes and one absence.
