The Goshen County Board of County Commissioners announced on June 2 that Karna Stoddard has been chosen as the permanent County Planner, effective June 1. Chairman Michael McNamee made the appointment announcement during the regular meeting and Commissioner Aaron Walsh publicly praised Stoddard’s work.
Commissioner Walsh “welcomed her aboard as a full-time employee effective June 1,” according to the meeting minutes. The chair noted Stoddard’s promotion creates an open seat on the county Planning Commission; the minutes do not record a vote related to the Planning Commission vacancy. The planner’s written monthly report, submitted separately, outlined active items including Riverview Subdivision review and work on a fee schedule in coordination with the County Surveyor and Road & Bridge.
