Board appropriates $51,097 in state PPE grant to Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department

Miss Cruz told the board Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department applied for and received an FY26 PPE grant from the state's Department of Fire Programs and that $51,097.45 was deposited to county checking. "I am requesting that these funds be received and the expenditure be appropriated in the FY26 budget in the amount of $51,097.45," Miss Cruz said.
A board member moved to approve the appropriation and a second followed; the vote to accept the funds and appropriate them into the FY26 budget carried with recorded 'Aye' responses.
