Commission approves Lot 11 Allen Point plat amendment after Army Corps review

The Draper Planning Commission unanimously approved a plat amendment for Lot 11 of the Allen Point subdivision (Application SUBD‑083‑2022) on Sept. 26. Mary Anne Pickering, the staff contact, explained that the Army Corps of Engineers reviewed the property and concluded there are no jurisdictional wetlands or waters on the lot, making it appropriate to remove the no‑build wetlands area from the recorded plat.

Pickering said the amendment would return approximately 0.5 of an acre to the homeowners and allow construction of a structure at the rear of the property once the revised plat is recorded. She noted that neighboring lots have gone through a similar process and that no public comments or objections were received during the noticing period. A commissioner moved to approve the amendment based on the staff report findings; the motion passed unanimously.
