Treasurer warns bookkeeping software transition prevents consolidated financial report

County Treasurer Leticia Dominguez reported that the county’s QuickBooks payroll and accounts-payable use ended with calendar year 2025 and that all transactions from Jan. 1, 2026 forward are in a new bookkeeping system. Because the Clerk’s Office has retroactively entered transactions into the old system, Dominguez said she could not run a single, consolidated report and instead combined outputs from both systems for the May report.
Dominguez told commissioners she was working with the Clerk’s Office to reconcile records. Chairman Michael McNamee noted county staff have been meeting Wednesday mornings since May 6 to create uninterrupted collaboration time for the conversion and scheduled a follow-up meeting with the Clerk and Treasurer for June 17 to continue reconciliation work. Commissioners approved the Treasurer’s report.
