Arena grading, contractor follow-up urged after monster truck event

Board Chair Doug Blodry said the most recent monster truck event “did a little bit better than last year” and reported that Wadsworth regraded the arena and parking lot to flatten the surface. He told the board he is meeting with the monster-truck organizer to address items the promoter was expected to restore but had not completed.
Members said the regraded surface looked much better, but raised concerns about prior impacts to the arena surface that had not been repaired after earlier events. One member flagged the need for contractor barriers and other protections if motorsport events resume, and the board agreed to ask facility staff and the parks and recreation director to weigh in on liability and repair plans before approving similar events.
