Chief Operations Officer Nick Creevy opened and read six bids for the 2025 Local Paving Project (Project 2025-2) at the Oct. 7 meeting. The amounts recorded in the bid opening were: Temple & Temple $873,658.44; Louisville Paving Company $762,206.45; Libs Paving $655,494.05; CNR Construction $667,616.50; E&B Paving $644,500.00; and Mac Construction $624,388.00. The board voted to take the bids under advisement to allow staff time for review and verification.
Commissioners did not award the project at the meeting; taking bids under advisement is a routine procurement step that allows staff to check qualifications, references and bid completeness before a formal award. No schedule for final award or contract execution was set during the meeting minutes.
