Foundry 10 pledges to cover facility-rental shortfall for athletics; district continues to accept donations

District staff told the board that Foundry 10, an educational research and philanthropy organization, committed to funding facility rentals for athletics and activities up to the amount the district needs.
Michelle Scott said the district had already received some donations and that Foundry 10’s commitment covers the shortfall for facility rentals that are not covered by state funding. “They have provided a donation up to the amount that we need for those facility rentals,” she said. Sports specifically mentioned included gymnastics, bowling, golf and swimming. Scott added that if there are leftover funds after the immediate need is met, the district will work with Foundry 10 to consider carrying some funds into the next year or applying them to other student programs.
Board members thanked the donor and staff for facilitating the support and encouraged community members to continue donating to athletics and activities if they wish.
