Board approves consent agenda, including $208,053.73 in general-fund encumbrances and three resignations

At its Sept. 8 meeting the Weatherford Public Schools Board of Education approved a consent agenda that included multiple encumbrance listings and personnel acknowledgments. The General Fund encumbrances #287–#377 totaled $208,053.73; Building Fund encumbrances #16–#28 totaled $63,323.84; and Child Nutrition Fund encumbrances #26–#33 totaled $217,602.93. The board motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Matt Fast and seconded by Carrie Schmidt and passed 3–0 with two members absent.
The consent agenda also listed change orders across Fund 11 (multiple line items) and Funds 21 and 22, approval of a Burcham Library surplus, the activity fund custodian’s report, and the superintendent’s acknowledgement of resignations: Anita Mast (Secretary at WMS), Brittaney Theis (Paraprofessional at Burcham) and Jackie Vaughan (Paraprofessional at Burcham). These items were adopted as presented. The board recorded the vote as Bryan Bayless: Yea; Matt Fast: Yea; Carrie Schmidt: Yea; Chris Gregston and Kyle King: Absent.
The approval leaves the district’s listed encumbrances and personnel changes in effect for the 2025–2026 fiscal and school year; the minutes record no additional debate on these items and no amendments to the listed amounts or positions.
