Middlesex supervisors vote unanimously to enter closed session on County Administrator personnel matter

The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Feb. 5, 2026, to convene a closed session under Virginia Code §2.2-3711(A)(1) for discussion of personnel matters regarding the County Administrator. Supervisor Wayne H. Jessie, Sr. moved the motion and Supervisor Randy Crittenden seconded it; the roll call vote recorded all five supervisors as voting Aye.
After the closed session the board returned to open session and, by a roll call motion also made by Supervisor Jessie and seconded by Supervisor Crittenden, certified that to the best of the members’ knowledge only public business lawfully exempted under the motion had been considered or discussed. The minutes record no further public action on that personnel matter and the meeting adjourned at 3:07 p.m.
