EDA discusses Project Access finances, Norview leases and permit costs for boat‑ramp work

Executive Director Trenton Funkhouser presented December through February treasurer's reports and said Norview Marine Properties performed an audit and is renewing many leases; Joe Heyman circulated a spreadsheet summarizing EDA and Norview slip-management revenues and will follow up with Norview staff for updated revenue shares in March. Funkhouser noted that a CD held by the EDA will mature on March 24 and that TreasuryDirect bills will be renewed automatically.
On Project Access land and facilities, Mr. Heyman reviewed options for a Virginia Outdoors Foundation conservation/land grant for the smaller recreational boat‑ramp parcel and explained the application process, including that the PDC is unavailable to assist with grant writing. Heyman said he will prepare the application himself and bring it back to the board in March. He also asked for authorization to begin a Joint Permit Application at a projected cost of $7,500 and for a wetlands delineation estimated at $2,200, noting those funds would come from the $200,000 set aside in the Project Access carryover.
