Commission approves multiple contracts and renewals on consent agenda

Notable items included a contract with Risk Analytics, LLC for trustees' tax collection project management and application development not to exceed $266,904 to be paid from CIP funds; a renewal with Master's Touch LLC for 2025 tax notice printing and mailing services not to exceed $200,000; a FY2025 health department grant amendment adding $1,008,332 in federal grant funds to add two FTEs for the Healthy Start Initiative; and a vector-control purchase from S. Opco USA LLC for up to $76,399.50 for adulticides. In a separate procurement, the commission approved a contract with Shelby Electric Company for traffic-signal upgrades tied to the Tennessee congestion management air quality program for up to $3,090,894.60 (federal/state pass-through funds). "We've received a notification of compliance for Title VI for this project," County Engineer Darren Sanders said when asked how civil-rights compliance would be handled.
The full consent agenda passed on a voice/tally vote recorded by the clerk (12 aye votes on the initial consent vote). Officials noted several items expend federal or special revenue funds and requested relevant compliance plans be included in supplemental materials when applicable.
